September 29, 2010, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in Ukraine Felix Leon Carballo visited our university. Ambassador met with the Rector of NTUU"KPI" Michael Zgurovsky. The following issues were discussed during the meeting: a cooperation of our university with education and scientific institutions of the Republic of Cuba as well as the International scientific-practical conference "Grateful Ukraine - noble Cuba", dedicated to the 20th anniversary program of recovery in Cuba Ukrainian children affected by the Chernobyl accident.
It should be noted that since the mid 70s of last century KPI actively cooperated with the Central University of Las Villas (Havana) in the areas of training, research in the field of energy saving, computer equipment, construction materials, welding, telecommunications and others. Now the Republic of Cuba employs hundreds of professionals with diplomas KPI. The Ambassador and the Rector stated that the cooperation between NTUU”KPI” and Cuban organizations is in the interests of both sides.
