I am deeply convinced that your choice will bring you success in life and professional activity, because the demand for highly qualified engineers in society is growing rapidly.
More than two hundred and fifty thousand engineers and scientists who have worked and are working in our country and abroad have graduated from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute during its existence.
The fate of many famous creators of new technology, scientists, statesmen, workers of culture, art and sports is connected with our university. Among them are the outstanding chemist Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev, mechanic Stepan Prokopovych Tymoshenko, aircraft designers Igor Ivanovych Sikorsky, Oleksandr Mikulin and Arkhyp Lyulka, creators of space technology Sergiy Pavlovich Korolyov and Volodymyr Mykhailovych Chelomei, a specialist in the field of bridge construction and welding, who continued great traditions of his father, long-term President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Borys Paton. And this list of famous Kyiv polytechnics can be significantly extended.
