Fruitful unity and partnership between NTUU “KPI” and educational institution of Republic of Poland have ancient traditions and rich history. Polish and Ukrainian students and scientists always took part in numerous common projects, exchanging programs and academic mobility etc. The last time this partner relations are changing on the basis of different educational and scientific agreements, that helps operation of Ukrainian – Polish center, which works in KPI.
This study year new teacher of polish language Voicheh Zvolinskii appeared on faculty of linguistics. Mr. Voicheh in 2002 graduated the Institute of Slavic philology of Jagelon University of Poland and started his work immediately in Ukraine. As he always says, he always dreamed about the travel to the East. And after long years of work in Mykolaiv and Zaporizhia, he at last get to KPI.
In KPI you can learn polish language in the Institute of post diploma education. Everybody who wants to study language on different levels – from basic level А1 to the highest C2 are proposed to study it. Those courses can prove useful to those who want to get education in polish universities or to get work in Poland, plans to pass though the polish state examination or wants to use the language in his professional activity. Besides persons who have polish origin and want to get the polish card, can pass the course of polish geography, history and culture that are prepared for the interview at the consulate of Poland.
You also can attend the facultative course of polish on the faculty of linguistics of NTUU “KPI”.
Students who show the best results in studying polish are awarded free place in a tourist group to the summer intensive course of polish that are held in different universities of Poland. In that way, for students of KPI will go to Krakov, to study polish during four weeks in well-known Jagelon university. The next year are planning to start the students’ exchanges between KPI and other polish universities.
Not only students of polytechnic university attend this courses but also students of other universities and senior pupils and adults. During the study Mr. Voicheh uses the materials that are published and worked in Poland, as Ukraine have such difficulties with study books.
This study books are published for the foreigner, and materials have to be corrected to bring the information to Ukrainian student. The special attention is fixed on lexical and grammatical exercises that helps to realize the difference between Ukrainian, Russian and polish languages and intended for the effective polish language learning.
All free time Mr.Voicheh spends with his sun and wife, who are living together with him in Kiev. The family loves to travel - during 11 years of living in Ukraine they have travelled round all Ukraine and neighbor countries. Mr. Voicheh also is interested in the literature and interested the politic life of Poland, Ukraine and other countries of Central Europe.
The teacher who lived in Ukraine for some time in Ukraine, liked this country. And he wants in his further dreams to stay here. And also to continue his work in KPI. And we wish his dreams come true.
