"Whatever you say, but the heredity has the effect. The people will deal with what the soul wants, despite the wish of the parents" - with a smile says Professor FMM Ludmila Shulgina. The story of her life is the proof of these words.

In 1979 she graduated from Kyiv Trade and Economics Institute on the specialty "Expert in goods and organizer of trade in food products." However, due to heredity - the third generation of teachers – she could not work in trade and in working only three months at this prestigious position of the highest category of goods manager she moved to the post of master of working training in Kiev professional trade school.

Further, in 1990, she moved in Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, where for twenty years has gone from a laboratory assistant, senior laboratory assistant, junior research employee, graduate student, senior lecturer, associate professor, Professor, Head of the Department of Economics, Management and Marketing Institute of higher qualification KNTEU; Deputy Director of the Institute for research and educational work. In 2006 she defended the thesis for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences on the theme "Marketing business of the tourism industry."

In "KPI", at the Department of Management, Lyudmila came in 2010. For the year she received the title of professor. Now she teaches: "Innovation Marketing", "Marketing personnel", "Strategic Management of innovative development of the enterprise" for students of all forms of learning and for applicants of second education. She tries to carry out the classes as the training, with mandatory use of situational exercises, analysis of case studies of enterprises. Students learn to present their collective and individual creative tasks.

L.M.Shulgina is the head of the scientific student group "Marketing of innovations of industrial enterprise." The most active students are addicted to marketing research operation of enterprises, the results of which they publish articles, carry out scientific work, participate and win in a competition of scientific papers.

Beginning with 2006 under the leadership of L.M.Shulgina there was done 5 research works on topical issues. The results of these studies are published in 4 monographs. She was named among the winners of the university competition "The teacher-researcher - 2013".

Under the guidance of prof. L.M.Shulgina there were defended the dissertations of M.V.Leo "Branding in the marketing businesses in commercial real estate" (2011) M.L.Tkeshelashvili "Marketing management of tourist business" (2012); A.I.Zinchenko "Marketing of enterprises of green tourism" (2012.); V.M.Melnichuk "The mechanism of formation of customer value products printing enterprises" (2014); V.V.Yuhimenko "Formation of development strategies innovation business" (2014).

Professor L.M.Shulgina is the member of the Special Academic Council for the Protection of theses (NTUU "KPI"), the member of the editorial board of the professional edition of "The Newsletter" NTUU”KPI ". She is responsible for the international activities of the Department of Management and International mobility of students in the direction "Management". She carries out the research with scientists from Krakow and Wroclaw economic universities, published results in scientific journals of Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Poland.

In life, Ludmila Mikhailovna is the pleasant companion with a broad outlook and varied interests. Students are drawn to her, there is almost a queue to get scientific advice and for all she finds the time and the special approach.
