On the 14th of October at the Center of Culture and Arts of NTUU ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ the closing ceremony of the festival ‘Sikorsky Challenge 2016’ was held. There the jury of the startups contest ‘Sikorsky Challenge’ and ‘Intel-Techno Ukraine’ competition announced the winners, and together with the representatives of investors presented awards and gifts to the authors of the best projects.

Dear veterans and current defenders of our motherland! Dear ‘polytechnics’! For the third year in a row on 14 October, the Day of Defender of Ukraine is celebrated as a national holiday, set by the President’s decree.

A day before the Defender of Ukraine Day, students and teaching staff of NTUU "Igor Sikorsky KPI" commemorated the memory of those perished on Maidan and in military actions in the East of Ukraine.

In July 2016 a group of 11 students of the Joint Ukrainian-German Faculty of Mechanical Engineering visited the Magdeburg University after Otto-von-Guericke (Germany) according to the program of a work practice.

This summer, we, the students of "Igor Sikorsky KPI", who successfully completed the second course of the Joint Ukrainian-German Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, held a summer language practice in the University after Otto-von-Guericke in Magdeburg (Germany ).

To realize ourselves in this world, we should know who we are and where are we from. Travelling  helps us to know the history of the region and its famous people - educators, scientists, and community leaders.

In October, 12, the president of International organization of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (ІЕЕЕ Industry Applications Society), David Duroshe as well as the manager of department of participant and members of ІЕЕЕ Industry Applications Society, Peter Magyar visited NTUU “Igor Sikorsky KPI”.

Best students of "KPI after Igor Sikorsky" received a Presidential scholarship for excellent teaching, scientific research and effective public indifference this semester .

Meeting of the head of the primary trade Union organization of educational facilities in Kiev took place in the Center of Culture and Arts NTUU “KPI after Igor Sikorsky”. Numerous speeches testified about the protest mood of Union members.

This year's celebration of National Librarian Day in a team of Scientific and Technical Library named G.I. Denisenko of NTUU "KPI named Igor Sikorsky" was especially interesting.
