At the ceremony, many warm words were said to the winners, their parents and teachers. “I am grateful to the parents who supported their children, were their support and believed in them even in the most difficult moments. I would also like to recognize teachers and supervisors - people who were able to see the potential in everyone and helped to unlock it. And most importantly, our winners, future scientists, researchers and leaders. These talented teenagers will be the ones who will rebuild our country, strengthen it and create a new history of Ukraine,” said Stanislav Dovgyi, President of the Junior Academy of Sciences. He added: “Since the beginning of the war, schoolchildren have become more interested in the history of Ukraine and the sciences that can help win the war, such as robotics. But most importantly, they have become conscious citizens.”
“I am very pleased to be here today with you and to have the opportunity to communicate with our talented youth. I am sincerely grateful to everyone who sees their future in Ukraine. We are currently implementing reforms in higher education to ensure that our young people, i.e. you, have even better opportunities than abroad to realize their potential at home. There are many opportunities for self-realization in Ukraine. A nation has the right to exist if the majority of its representatives make a choice in favor of their country and believe in its future. If we make a different choice, the country essentially disappears from the world map,” said Oksen Lisovyi, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.
“How much we need such positive emotional meetings now: our children are smart, persistent, and caring! I sincerely thank everyone - young researchers, their teachers, parents, everyone involved in this event! It is my personal dream that our young talents have opportunities for self-realization in our country!” Iryna Polishchuk, Director of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences, also joined in.
