Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Kyiv Polytechnic Science Park took part in a working meeting of the founders of the Center for Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production.
Our university is one of the founders of this Center, which was established in 2013 as part of a large-scale project of UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) “Promoting the Adaptation and Adoption of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production through the Establishment and Operation of the Cleaner Production Center in Ukraine”.
The Center's activities are focused on international projects to improve the economic, environmental and social performance of national industry, including the implementation of resource efficient and cleaner production, circular economy, eco-industrial parks, green chemistry, etc.
The conference discussed the results of the Center's work over the past five years and outlined prospects for the future. Also, after the previous chairmanship of Sergiy Sydorenko, Andriy Vorfolomeyev was re-elected as the Chairman of the Center's Board.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute continues to contribute to the circular economy by supporting the activities and participating in the Center's projects aimed at developing Ukrainian enterprises and their resource efficiency, green chemistry, promoting green modernization of the Ukrainian economy, etc.
