Dear Kyiv Polytechnics! Dear readers! The year 2024 is coming to an end. Another year of the heavy bloody war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine. A war that continues to take the lives of our best compatriots, break the lives and health of thousands of people, and make children orphans. The mournful list of those who died for the freedom and independence of our country already includes more than a hundred names of Kyiv Polytechnic graduates, students, staff, and teachers. Eternal memory to them!
The outgoing year was full of hard work, events, worries and changes. But despite the difficulties of all its days, weeks, and months, the staff of our university will remember it with gratitude. After all, the university not only continued to train specialists for our country, but also significantly intensified its work to bring our Victory closer. Moreover, we managed to maintain our leading position in the country's educational space and multiply our scientific achievements. At the same time, the potential of the KPI volunteer movement has also significantly strengthened: today, not only military personnel who have recently studied or worked side by side with us, but also representatives of other units and subdivisions defending our homeland on all fronts seek help from the university.
Of course, the most notable event of the year for Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was the election of the rector. They were not easy, but they were as transparent and fair as possible. Kyiv polytechnics once again proved their ability to unite and jointly ensured the fulfillment of all legal requirements by electing a new worthy leader of the university. At the same time, the team managed to remain faithful to the long-standing traditions of KPI and the main course of its development.
Along the way, we have already found new friends and partners, as Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is confidently becoming one of the main platforms for holding meetings and developing new innovative solutions to ensure confident and steady progress towards the Victory and post-war revival of our entire country. Kyiv Polytechnic has already written about some of these national-level meetings and events, and we will continue to report on others.
The achievements of our university and its subdivisions can be listed for a long time. However, this requires separate publications. Besides, we should not forget that they are only stages on our way to the future. What it will be like depends on the perseverance, coordination, mutual support and will of each of us.
Today we are looking forward to the year 2025 with our thoughts. We cherish the hope that it will bring us the coveted Victory and peace. We hope that with our sleeves rolled up, we will be able to start reviving our country and building a safe, just and prosperous life on our God-given land.
