Huawei Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Academy at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute became the best Huawei Academy in 2021.
On November 30, 2021, the annual event HUAWEI ICT DAY 2021 took place at the Congress and Exhibition Center "Parkovy". Vice-Rector for Student Affairs Nataliia Seminska and the FRE and ITS representatives attended the date.
Nataliia Seminska spoke as a co-speaker with Oleksii Assaul in the presentation “Partner Ecosystem, ICT Academy Program. Experience of cooperation of a strategic educational partner - Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
The cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Huawei Ukraine has a long history and has already proved effective. One of them is the opening and start of the HUAWEI ICT Academy established in 2020 at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Currently, more than 170 University students study at the DATACOM course. DATACOM is the only course translated into Ukrainian by specialists of our University.
To ensure the academy operation, Huawei Ukraine donated equipment for science and education of about UAH 1 million. Instructors for HCIA-Datacom (FRE) and WLAN (ITS) courses got certified. The Datacom laboratory was established, and the course got integrated into the University curriculum for the 2021/2022 academic year.
All this confirms the importance of cooperation with Huawei and its further development. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Huawei Ukraine are an example of a strategic partnership of a university and business. We are grateful to the company for its attention to our University, constant support of joint projects and talented youth, significant contribution to the training of highly qualified, competitive professionals for the Ukrainian labor market.
