Among the winners of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute contest “Young Lecturer-Reseacher 2018” is the assistant of the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines and Strength of Materials of MMI, junior research associate of the Research and Experimental Centre “Nadiynist” (MMI) Oleksandr Bondarets. He is a graduate of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and he continues famous traditions of MMI scientists by his work.
In 2003, Oleksandr graduated from school with a gold medal and entered Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. In 2009, he graduated from the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and got a degree in dynamics and strength of machines, then he entered post-graduate program. Beginning from the 4th year he worked at the department with the state-funded projects, in 2012-2013 he worked as a full-time junior research worker at the Research Section of the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines and Strength of Materials of MMI. In general, he took part in 5 state-financed projects, particularly as an executive manager of the project: “Developing a generalized method of lifespan prediction of composite materials in conditions of complex low-cycle loading adjusted for damage rate”. Under the guidance of associate member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Prof. M. I. Bobyr, he took part in research work “Developing methodology of defining the load-carrying capability of the constructions made of composite materials affected by cyclic load” to the order of Government Enterprise “M. K. Yanhel Construction Department “Pivdenne”.
Since 2009 O. A. Bondarets has been doing research work in certification tests as a junior research associate of the Research and Experimental Centre “Nadiynist”. The Centre is accredited according to the criteria of State Standards of Ukraine ISO/IEC in testing metallic, polymeric, composite materials, materials of construction and the products made of them; metallic and building constructions; weight-lifting machines and mechanisms, etc. Oleksandr Anatoliyovych is a specialist in mechanical certification tests of constructional, of building materials and products, and of transport equipment to orders of enterprises and statements, and, particularly, defense systems as well.
Except science, the young researcher is interested in football and cycling. O. A. Bondarets is the captain of MMI lecturers football team, which won honorable second place in the last Rector’s Cup tournament. In a fierce competition, they only gave in to the team of professionals – the legendary team of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute veterans. Oleksandr actively encourages youth to do sports, constantly organizes matches between lecturers and students on the Days of the Faculty, etc.
The researcher has more than 20 research publications in professional editions, especially in those which are presented in Scopus Science Base. He systematically takes part in national and international specialized science conferences. At XX International Conference of Research and Technology O. A. Bondarets’s thesis “Progressive Technics, Technology and Engineering Education” was declared the best one and won appropriate diploma.
He works with the students a lot, teaches courses “Mechanics of Anisotropic Constants”, “Modern Systems of Modelling”, “Mechanics of Materials and Constructions”, “Special Systems of Calculations”. Since 2018, he has been Scientific Secretary of the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines and Strength of Materials.
As they say: “Sound mind in a sound body”. So, we wish the scientist to gain professional achievements and success in sports.
