Team of Volleyball Veterans of Igor Sikorsky KPI, which has already won the Ukrainian Volleyball Cup among veterans in the nomination of 75+ in 2015 and 2016, proved to be the strongest this year, having won the final competitions of Ukrainian Cup in 2017. For the first time in Ukraine, our university became a three-time winner of a transitional Cup of the Volleyball Federation of Ukraine, and therefore, this Cup will be assigned to the Museum of Sports Glory of Igor Sikorsky KPI once and for all!
The decisive battles of the final competitions were held at the end of June at the famous sports arena "Lasurny Fakel" on the Black Sea coast, in the village of Koblevo, Mykolayiv region. Our team won all the strongest teams in the final competitions. It was nice to feel the support of many fans from different regions of Ukraine, who were on holiday on our dazzling-white beaches of the Black Sea at that time. The fans were interested in studying at our university and eagerly got acquainted with the booklets about Igor Sikorsky KPI. Many of our volleyball champions are also known in the scientific world for their significant achievements in the field of fundamental sciences and for the practical application of these achievements in various directions of the development of modern science in many of our faculties. In particular, modern scientific achievements of sports dynamics help to improve sportsmanship and win gold medals with the help of optimal training exercises. Those are developed for each particular sport on the basis of appropriate dynamic mathematical and computer models.
In many respects, our faith is fostered by belief in the athletic longevity of our professors, associate professors and scientists of different faculties, who come to the volleyball hall every Monday and Thursday to forge our victories.
