A regular meeting of the University Academic Council were held on the 14th of May 2018. The meeting began with the diploma delivery ceremony "Honorary Doctor of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute ", a mantle, and handing memorial sign to the professor Gots Yuriy Georgievich, the director of the Institute for Nanomaterials of E.J.Drexel University (USA). After the ceremony, traditionally, Yuryi Georgievich gave a solemn speech.Then, there also was a congratulations on jubilee dates to the head of the industrial marketing department, professor S.O. Solntseva and to the head of Theory, Practice and Translation of French Language Department, associate professor I.S. Poluk.
After that, the letters of appreciation of the Ministry of Education and Science in Ukraine were delivered to the pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The appreciation letters were handed to the head of International Economics Department – S.V. Voitko, to the head of history of aviation and cosmonautics Department of the State Polytechnic Museum – O.S. Boltenko, to the professor of the FPM – O. Horobets, to the associate professor of FIE –
T.R. Klochko, to the chief engineer of Development Design Office "Shtorm" –
S.P. Pus, to the leading engineer of the FIE – V.I. Skitsyuk and to the associate professor of the FIE – M.V. Filippova.
Next, the participants considered the issue of approving training plans for training specialists. It was reported by the first vice rector Yu.I.Yakimenko. Yurii Ivanovich provided a list of educational programs of qualifications in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, he also approved and emphasized on the preparation peculiarities of educational and work curricula. He also noted that all academic texts created at our university will be tested for plagiarism using the UNICHECK verification system.
The results of integrated quality monitoring of training specialists in the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (XXIII tour) was the next question to be discussed. The director of the Institute for the Education Quality Monitoring – M.M.Perestyuk reported this question. Maria Nikolaevna introduced a system for measuring the quality of the specialists training at the university and she also provided the results of the monitoring that was carried out in the areas of training.
Finally, the participants discussed the competition issues and current staff.
