Each of us who at least once visited the cemetery, could see the complete abandonment of some tombs. Usually people accuse buried relatives who do not look after these grave. And it should be noted that many burials have taken place a long time ago, so the deceased and relatives in our city no longer exists. And the relevant state institutions in the case ordering graves, so to speak, the hands (or finance?) do not reach.
Therefore, a common project of the Ukrainian Society for Protection of Historical and Cultural and NTUU "KPI", which includes works of cleaning cemetery plots mission is relevant and very noble. The real enthusiasts in this case were members of the Society – Lyudmila Grigoriivna Molochna and Valentina Grigoriivna Reva.
At the end of the year in one of Saturday, a group of students of the faculty of heat power NTUU "KPI" in number of 22 people led by Lyudmyly Grigoriivny and Valentiny Grigoriivny despite sleet, ordering stations engaged on the Lukyanovka cemetery-reserve.
"This is the 10th our troops cleaning graves - says Lyudmila Grigoriivna - First, the students cleaned the funeral of former teachers or graduates of KPI and now decided to take under his wing some neglected areas cemetery. Those students-polytechnics that are engaged in cleaning, arrived from Rivne, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Volyn, Kyiv. They are now studying in the KPI and with great respect for the Kiev land, which passed to his predecessors of today's teachers. Bogdan Kaydyk - one of the students who actively worked that day, says: "I believe that people who have done much for our university and buried there, and their graves are abandoned deserve our memory. It is our duty. And even if our participation no notice - it is important first of all for ourselves. " Bogdan supplements another student, Alexander Syvohorlyy: "This cemetery is a lot of real luminary KPI, and do not always have someone to look their graves. Therefore I would like to call more people to help, remember the famous people of the past."
