Anatoly D. Nesterenko (1899-1975) - Professor, Head of Department electric instrumentation (1945-1956), corresponding member of AS UkSSR (1951). In 1926, he graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. In 1926-1928, he organized the laboratory of electrical measurements in Kiev Polytechnic Institute. He was there a teacher, lecturer. In 1931-1934, he was the consultant, Head of works on electrical measurements in the Kiev branch of the Research Institute of industrial energetics. Since 1935, he is the Professor of Kiev Industrial Institute. In 1936-1938, he headed the laboratory of the Energy Institute of the USSR of H.M. Krjijanovsky; from 1938 to 1942, he was head of new developments and chief designer for many enterprises. In 1938, for his active participation on the basis of research workshops KPI it was established Kyiv plant of electrical equipment, hereafter known as "Tochelektro-device" (now JSC "Rostok"). He was the first chief designer and supervisor of the company. In 1945, he created in Kiev Polytechnic Institute Department of electric intsrumentation and headed it until 1956. He worked at the Academy of Sciences, holding the post of head of department, deputy director, and from 1952 to 1959 - Director of the Institute of Electrical Engineering of AS UkSSR.
He was one of the first scientific leaders and organizers electrical instrumentation in Ukraine, developed new original methods for creating and designing electrical devices. His scientific papers were devoted to theoretical basics of electrical engineering, electrical and magnetic measurements, the development of the theory of phase meters and automatic balancing. Many attention is paid to training the scientific and industrial personnel.

He was the Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1978).
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner.
He authored over 80 scientific papers, including the fundamental book "Fundamentals of electrical circuits balancing" and the textbook "Details and components devices" (co-author).
