This spring, Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute hosted the All-Ukrainian Competition for Students and Young Researchers with International Participation, Youth Intelligence: Sustainable Natural Resource Management and Advanced Energy-Efficient Technologies. The event was held under the motto "Dream, Create, Grow!" The competition was organized by the Department of Automation of Electrical and Mechatronic Complexes of the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management, in cooperation with the Scientific and Technical Society of Chemmotologists NGO, under the patronage of the German-Ukrainian University Network ConnectED and in partnership with the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences.

Students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute achieved the best results among 30 participants representing 18 higher education institutions from across Ukraine. Congratulations to the second-year student winners:

On the eve of the 4th International Scientific and Practical Conference, Library Development Strategies: From Idea to Implementation, held on June 17–19, 2026, at the shelter of the Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute, participants gathered for an open discussion titled "Leadership in an Era of Defined Uncertainty."

👥 The final event of the international Open4UA project—a three-year collaboration between Ukrainian universities and European partners aimed at advancing Open Science—was held at the H. I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library.

If, as the saying goes, a theater begins with its coat rack, then one of the oldest laboratories at Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute begins with a spiral staircase. This is the Educational and Research Laboratory of Biopolymer Technology and Modification, where generations of students specializing in this field have studied and conducted research.

This year's seminar, "Economic Cooperation with Ukraine," organized by the Alumni Association of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in Poland, was held in the town of Łagów from May 29 to 31, 2026. The event took place at the Leśnik Recreation Centre.

At the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automatics of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the pace of change shaping the future of Ukraine's energy sector is especially evident. One of the driving forces behind these transformations is Doctor of Engineering Sciences Denys Hryhorovych Derevianko.

Academic staff and engineers from the Department of Automation of Electrical Engineering and Mechatronic Complexes (AEMC) at the Educational and Research Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute organized the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the memory of the distinguished scientist and long-serving Head of the Department, Professor Valentyn Chermalykh.

Professor Serhii Vasylovych Strutynskyi of the Applied Fluid Mechanics and Mechatronics Department at the Educational and Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (MMI) represents a new generation of researchers who combine fundamental science, practical expertise, and engineering creativity to develop innovative solutions. His professional career has been closely connected with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, where he progressed from student and PhD candidate to professor and leader of both fundamental and applied research projects.

A recent study visit to the Brovary Factory of Boiler Equipment ARDENZ provided 14 students from the Institute of Atomic and Thermal Energy, ranging from first- to fourth-year undergraduates, with a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with industrial practice. The two-hour visit was organized by Associate Professors Nataliia Prytula and Artur Rachynskyi, together with Assistant Lecturer Inna Bednarska from the Department of Thermal and Alternative Energy.
