Inspired by the conditions of the final stage of the Second Open Engineering Competition “Build Your MRIYA” for students of grades 8-11, which took place at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute during 29-29 of October, 2015. In today's environment, the production of competitive mechanical engineering products requires technologies that ensure high quality products and improve their performance. In particular, combined thermomechanical hardening using laser radiation and surface treatment is an effective technological method of increasing the wear resistance of parts. 

At the end of 2024, the staff of the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Sociology and Law of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” prepared the first issue of the scientific journal “TECHNE” for publication.

The International Center for Mathematics in Ukraine (ICMU) honorary award, introduced this year, was given to Oleksiy Galganov, a PhD student at the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. He became one of six winners selected from among the best mathematics students from all leading Ukrainian universities.

At the XIII International Festival of Innovative Projects “Sikorsky Challenge 2024: Innovations for Peace and Security of Ukraine”, the team of the project “Modular Remote Demining System ‘Impactor’ won the Best Startup Solution nomination.
