October 31, the conference “European experience of outsourcing in the field of information technology in Ukrainian universities: the path to success" was held at the Institute for Applied Systems Analysis NTUU "KPI".
The Conference became a significant event in the life of the university not only because it was dedicated to the important development of training for the IT-industry issues and forge closer links between university science and business, but also because it began with the opening at the base of IASA NTUU "KPI "regional Inter-University training and production center of outsourcing «ITSEA ».
"The opening of the Center is an important event for Kyiv and many other regions of our country, because now we can use more and more new IT-products for training, communications, business and education ... This project also gives us new opportunities for outsourcing and, of course, provide new connections with IT companies, the academic community, "- said the Rector of NTUU" KPI "NAS academician Michael Zgurovsky.
The center was established in the framework of the European project TEMPUS «Innovation hybrid Strategy of IT-outsourcing partnership with enterprises» (IHSITOP) with the support of the Permanent Commission of city council on education, science and innovation policy. Therefore, the opening ceremony was attended by the leaders, teachers and students KPI as well as the delegation city Vildau (Federal Republic of Germany) headed by the coordinator of this TEMPUS project professor Gunther-Ulrich Tolkihn, representatives of Ukrainian IT businesses, government bodies, local self-government and public organizations, colleagues from other universities of Kyiv, and even the leaders of the Kyiv Lyceum "Prestige" and secondary school №155, who work in partnership with the KPI.
The ceremony itself was quite an unusual, because it was conducted almost simultaneously with the opening ceremony of the same Center in Odessa National Polytechnic University. Participants of the events in both cities have seen each other on the big screens, which are integral parts of the equipment new created educational and scientific institutions, and communicate in real time. This equipment allows to organize reading massive open online course (MOOC) for audiences of different cities and even different countries. Opportunities for videoconferencing equipment were demonstrated during communication with colleagues, who gathered in great physical audience KPI, in Odessa and in the United States, Great Britain, Switzerland and other countries.
The conference participants examined not only reports but also the presentations of the partners of the Centre and leading IT companies, and it ended with a round table «Network of specialized university centers as a venue for MOOC and training teams of IT outsourcing."
