Georgiy De Metz (08.05.1861 - 1947) - physicist and methodologist, the authority in the field of radioactivity, the compiler of the first in Ukraine Course teaching of physics in schools.

A distinguished fashion manager and the co-owner of Maas Markets Ltd, Maurizio Askero, visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. He came to discuss installing a memorial plaque to the famous physicist George De Metz.
