🇧🇬 Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) welcomed an important guest—Kiril Petkov, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, politician, economist, and entrepreneur.
The meeting was dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Bulgarian partners in the fields of education, science, and industry. After all, it is universities like KPI that shape the engineering elite, become hubs of innovation, and play a key role in the country’s economic recovery.
📃Key areas of cooperation include:
— joint development of engineering education and research programs;
— strengthening collaboration with industry.
✅ Particular attention was paid to the idea of creating a cluster involving Ukrainian universities and international companies. Such initiatives can serve as an effective mechanism for integrating Ukrainian technological solutions into the European space, with technical universities—particularly KPI—serving as the core of these clusters’ development.
🔹The Bulgarian side also shared its experience in establishing educational centers and collaborating with leading universities worldwide, such as Harvard. This dialogue opens up broad opportunities for new partnerships, the development of engineering education, and the scaling of Ukrainian technological developments on an international level.
🤝 We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Republic of Bulgaria for its support of Ukraine from the very first days of the full-scale invasion and for the consistent assistance Ukraine continues to receive today. Such solidarity is of fundamental importance not only for our country but also for the stability of the entire European region.
📌 In this context, the importance of deepening cooperation in the Black Sea region was emphasized. Security, technological development, and the resilience of Black Sea infrastructure are today a shared challenge and, at the same time, a shared opportunity for Ukraine, Bulgaria, and partners across Europe and NATO.
