Young people are the most active segment of our society. And students represent its intellectual potential. Student energy is a source of new ideas, innovations, and social change. It is on their shoulders that the responsibility for the country’s recovery and future rests. Traditionally, the best among them are recognized with named awards and scholarships.

In the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, Anna Bridnya, a third-year student at the Faculty of Publishing and Printing, is among the recipients of the President of Ukraine’s scholarship. She is majoring in “Publishing and Printing,” mastering the technologies of print and electronic publications. Typically, student leaders are not passive “consumers” of knowledge. They know how to communicate, manage their time, think critically, and adapt quickly, so learning becomes not a necessity but a strategic investment for the future. Students not only absorb the material but also learn to apply it in specific situations—from project development to teamwork. They also actively participate in university life, organize various events, successfully balance their studies and work, engage in community service, and pursue personal growth.
All of the above describes Anna perfectly. As Nadiya Talimonova, Deputy Director of the Institute of VPI for Academic and Educational Affairs, explained, the student successfully balances her studies with community work and hobbies: she serves as chair of the Institute of VPI’s Student Union, is the academic group representative, and as a student mentor helps freshmen adapt and communicate, receiving positive feedback; she is a member of the Academic Council and the Scholarship Committee of the Institute of VPI, where she advocates for students’ interests, and more. And in her free time (how do students manage to find that free time?), she devotes herself to activities in the KPI CyberSport socio-humanities club.
“I love KPI,” Anya shares, “because it’s a place with a strong academic culture and broad opportunities for self-realization.” She explains: "Student life is fleeting. And at the university, there’s always something happening: exciting events, student initiatives, new acquaintances, and small discoveries that make every day fulfilling. And when the courses are truly interesting, and the professors share their knowledge with a passion for their work, a deep desire arises to invest in this place and be a part of it.”
Beautiful words: to invest in the place where you live and work, and to be a part of it. After all, it is young people who are called upon to implement the latest technologies, generate innovative solutions, and support democratic processes—to have the desire and opportunity to build a career at home. To become part of a community that does not shy away from challenges.
“I’ve always been drawn to creativity,” the student reflects, "but without a technical component, it quickly becomes exhausting and ceases to inspire. That’s why I chose VPI, because it’s here that I found the perfect balance between creativity and an engineering approach, thanks to which every idea takes on a clear form. The disciplines we study have inspired me to develop in the field of visual modeling and printing. I believe everything will work out."
Yes, dreams do come true, but only when you move forward, don’t complain about circumstances, and create your own world with your own hands. Just like Anna Bridnya.
