At the end of June, Igor Sikorsky KPI was visited by a delegation from N-IKS Delivery LLC, led by the company's industry director, Sviatoslav Kavetsky.
N-IKS Delivery LLC is engaged in computer programming and other activities in the field of information technology and computer systems.
The guests were welcomed by First Vice Rector Mykhailo Bezuglyi, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Tetiana Zhelyaskova, and employees of the Department of Software Engineering in Energy at the Institute of IATE. The prospects for cooperation were discussed, after which a cooperation agreement was signed. According to this agreement, the parties will promote cooperation, in particular, in the following areas: possible participation of KPI students in the development of projects and proposals related to the company's activities on a contractual basis; the company will provide assistance to KPI in order to improve the material and technical base of the university; the company will provide support in the development and updating of educational programs at all levels of higher education in order to modernize and adapt to current trends and market needs; the company will facilitate the organization of all types of internships and traineeships for higher education students and university employees, etc.
Mariana Khomitskaya, the company's deputy director, who was part of the delegation, expressed interest in working together on projects: "First, it will give KPI students the chance to present their work at different scientific conferences that we hold. Second, the company can provide expertise on the compliance of programs and thesis projects with current demands and requirements of modern business. And thirdly, we can be a practical platform for the implementation of joint projects or theses."
Acting Head of the Department of Software Engineering in Energy at the Institute of IATE, Oleksandr Koval, believes that the signing of a cooperation agreement between KPI and N-IKS DELIVERY LLC , one of the leaders in outsourcing activities in the field of software development in Ukraine, opens up new opportunities for students and teachers in the field of innovative education, in particular through joint work on the development of project thinking in the IT sphere. Project thinking in IT is the key to innovation and effective solutions. This cooperation includes the introduction of courses, workshops, and practical case studies that will develop students' ability not only to develop code, but also to think like engineers and change managers. According to him, the IPZE department sees this partnership as a strategic initiative that allows students not only to gain knowledge but also to implement their own projects at the intersection of technology and business.
