A seminar devoted to aspects of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation was held on May 23-25, 2025, at the LANCUT Hotel in Lancut, near Rzeszow. The seminar was organized by the Section of KPI Alumni in Poland.
Opening the official part of the seminar, the head of the Section, Janusz Fuksa, read out an address from the rector of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute,” Anatoliy Melnychenko, addressed to Polish alumni of the university. Bronisław Ginowski, head of the Society for Culture and History of Technology, presented a letter of congratulations from Ewa Mankevicz-Cudny, head of the Federation of Scientific and Technical Societies NOT. Krzysztof Świder and Janusz Fuksa gave presentations on the economic situation in Ukraine and its cooperation with other countries, as well as on the drones used by Russia to terrorize Ukraine day and night.
On Friday evening, KPI graduates who now live in various cities in Poland reminisced about their student years in Kyiv. After Saturday's meeting, they visited the Lanczut Castle Museum with its rich collection of horse-drawn carriages. Later, the seminar participants gathered for a gala dinner, where numerous photographs of Kyiv and the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute were displayed on a large screen. On Sunday, the seminar participants explored springtime Rzeszów.
