Despite the massive rocket attack on Ukraine on the night of April 24, 2025, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Business, Innovation, Management: Problems and Prospects” was held on the same day at the Faculty of Management and Marketing. It was organized by the Department of Enterprise Management. The conference brought together over 220 participants—scientists, practitioners, and higher education students from various cities in Ukraine, Poland, and Finland.

The key topic of this year's scientific discussions was innovative and strategic enterprise management in the context of digital transformation. Particular attention was paid to issues of cybersecurity, sustainable development, and business adaptation to global challenges that shape the vectors of development of the modern entrepreneurial environment.

Rapid changes in the external environment require enterprises to be able to adapt quickly, use resources efficiently, and implement the latest technologies in order to remain competitive and resilient to crises. At the same time, under the influence of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, globalization processes, and the growing role of business sustainability, management is also undergoing significant transformations. In such conditions, strategic management becomes a key factor in ensuring the development of enterprises, their adaptation to new challenges, and the preservation of competitive advantages. The importance of information security, effective logistics, digital platforms, and new business models is growing, requiring managers to have new competencies and flexible thinking. All this has determined the goal of the conference – to bring together experts to exchange knowledge, experience, and practices in the fields of modern management, digital innovation, sustainable development, international cooperation, and business security.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management and Marketing, Doctor of Economics, Professor Maryna Kravchenko, Head of the Department of Enterprise Management, Doctor of Economics, Professor Viktoria Dergachova, and Director of the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, Professor Yulia Zaloznova addressed the conference participants with welcoming remarks. They spoke about the importance of the conference topic in the context of dynamic geopolitical changes and the intensification of integration processes between Ukraine and the countries of the European Union. A common thread running through all the speeches was the idea that modern challenges require the introduction of innovative approaches to management, new business models, and close interaction between science, education, and business for the effective reconstruction and sustainable development of the national economy. Professor Yulia Zaloznova also emphasized the need for practical orientation in scientific research, as it can become a powerful tool for post-war recovery and economic strengthening of Ukraine.

Conference participants presented 20 reports. Among their authors were representatives of domestic and foreign higher education institutions, as well as enterprises and organizations – the Kyiv Institute of Intellectual Property and Law of the National University “Odessa Law Academy”, Cherkasy National University named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky, the National Institute for Strategic Studies, the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, DB Schenker in Ukraine, 8Allocate OU, and others. The topics of the reports covered a wide range of contemporary challenges and strategic priorities related to the recovery and long-term development of Ukraine in the context of global instability, digital transformation, and the growing role of sustainability in business. The speakers focused on research into innovative management approaches, digital technologies, international logistics, information security, and the importance of ecosystem thinking and the circular economy for modern entrepreneurship.

Of particular interest were the reports on information security issues at critical infrastructure enterprises. It was noted that an effective cybersecurity management system should not only comply with ISO/IEC 27001 requirements, but also be based on a systematic and process-oriented approach. The author's methodology TML (Tupkalo Modeling Language) and TBPN notation were presented, which allow for a detailed description of business processes, taking into account information flows, distribution of responsibilities and resources, facilitating the integration of cyber security into management systems.

During the discussion on the digital transformation of manufacturing, the growing importance of metaverses—digital ecosystems that combine AI, 3D visualization, and the Internet of Things—was noted. Metaverses open up new opportunities for personalization, prototyping, and sustainable manufacturing, while placing new demands on users' digital and creative skills.

Conference participants paid considerable attention to the activities of the Circular Economy Cluster (CEC) of Ukraine as an instrument of green transformation. The importance of digital infrastructure was emphasized, in particular the Waste Ukraine Analytics platform, which promotes transparency and B2B cooperation in the waste sector. The CEC model is oriented towards European standards and has the potential to be integrated into national sustainable development policy.

The results of the conference are summarized in a collection of abstracts from the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Business, Innovation, Management: Problems and Prospects,” which can be found on the official website of the Department of Enterprise Management (see https://confmanagement-proc.kpi.ua/issue/view/19267).

We hope that the conference's findings will become a source of new ideas, practical solutions, and scientific research, and will contribute to the development of modern Ukrainian management, business, and innovation.
