Igor Sikorsky KPI participates in the 69th session of the IAEA General Conference as part of the Ukrainian government delegation headed by Ukrainian Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynychuk. Kyiv Polytechnic is represented by Rector Anatoliy Melnichenko and Vice Rector for International Relations Andriy Shysholin.
Within the framework of the Conference, several meetings were held with representatives of the IAEA Department of Human Resources, the World Institute for Nuclear Safety, and the European Network for Nuclear Education, at which KPI was presented as a leading technical university in Ukraine, particularly in the field of energy, which even during a full-scale invasion is taking active steps to strengthen its energy independence.

📌 IAEA Human Resources Department
During the meeting with the head of the IAEA HR Department, Ms. Roula Sabat, they talked about programs to get students involved in internships, organizing special lectures with IAEA experts, and possible help in creating new educational programs at the university.
📌 WINS (World Institute for Nuclear Security)
During the meeting with WINS Academy, the following topics were discussed:
- scholarships for master's students;
- access for KPI students and employees to certified WINS Academy online courses on nuclear security, cyber security, and risk management;
- involvement of KPI teachers in the development of new training modules and participation in international projects.
- expansion of cooperation with international donors and partners.
It should be noted that Igor Sikorsky KPI already cooperates with WINS:
- translation of the training module on radioactive source safety into Ukrainian in collaboration with KPI teachers;
- launch of three online training cohorts with mentoring support for students and young professionals;
- creation of a test center at the IATE with a generator, soundproof booths, and modern equipment for taking online exams based on WINS Academy modules, etc.
📌 ENEN (European Nuclear Education Network)
Possibilities for cooperation in the field of training nuclear specialists, joint educational programs, and involving students in international educational initiatives were discussed with representatives of the European Nuclear Education Network.
