The best representatives of the capital's youth for their scientific and creative achievements, as well as for their contribution to the development of the youth movement, were awarded the Kyiv Mayor's Prize for special achievements in the development of the capital of Ukraine - the hero city of Kyiv.

The competition committee nominated 48 candidates for the award of UAH 10,000: 19 winners for scientific achievements, 14 winners for creative achievements, and 15 winners for contribution to the development of the youth movement.
‘This year, despite all the challenges of wartime, the city authorities continue to reward talented young people with cash prizes. This has become a good trend for Kyiv, as we encourage the new generation to take an active part in the development of our capital,’ said Olena Govorova, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration and Head of the Competition Committee.
‘Every time I never tire of admiring how incredibly talented our young people are. The prize was awarded to those who made a great contribution to the development of our city in 2023. I am confident that this award will be a great motivation for further victories and discoveries,’ said Yulia Khan, Director of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Kyiv City State Administration.
As always, it is a pleasure to see representatives of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute among the winners and to talk about them.
In the nomination ‘Scientific Achievements’ the award was given to:
- Nazarii Mykhailenko - 2nd year student of the Master's degree programme in IHF;
- Zhanna Ostapenko - senior lecturer at the Department of Biotechnology and Engineering of the FBT;
- Oksana Orlova - 2nd year master's student of IHF;
- Hlib Pashchenko - 1st year master's student of PBF.
In the nomination ‘Creative Achievements’:
- Serhii Gulievych - lecturer at the Department of Graphics of the School of VPI.
