On December 14, the Faculty of Electronics opened a new state-of-the-art technology laboratory specifically for the implementation of student projects, brainstorming sessions, engineering hackathons, and innovation festivals.
It was equipped as part of a cooperation agreement between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the NGO Association Noosphere.
This space with a total area of 200 square meters is equipped with modern multimeters, soldering equipment, computers for programming, etc. Moreover, if necessary, students will be able to order additional equipment they need to implement their developments. Interestingly, this is the first KPI research space to implement the Smart Home concept. So it has not only the equipment necessary for work, but also multi-zone temperature and humidity control, and you can control the lighting and sockets of the laboratory from your phone. "We want to offer students a space of possibilities," explained Serhiy Veretyuk, head of the KPI Noosphere Engineering School.
The laboratory is open to students of all KPI educational and research institutes and faculties who have not only interesting ideas but also a desire to bring them to life. The main thing is that these projects have an innovative component. These can also be undergraduate and graduate students who would like to join already established teams and contribute to their developments or offer their own.
