On February 13, 2024, a delegation of representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ukraine visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It consisted of advisers to the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Baurzhan Shabdenov, Yermek Katrenov and Dauren Satybaldin.
Director of the Center for International Education Serhiy Maulik met with the guests. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation, in particular, the issue of wider involvement of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in studying at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
At the beginning of the visit, the guests toured the university and the exposition of the State Polytechnic Museum of Ukraine named after Borys Paton. They also visited the recently opened innovative shelter "Smart Shelter: CLUST Space" in the premises of the Scientific and Technical Library, walked along the alley of prominent scientists whose lives and activities were closely connected with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
After the presentation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute by Sergiy Maulik, the participants of the meeting discussed specific issues of cooperation in the direction of wider involvement of Kazakh citizens in studying at the university.
"In the near future, we will be able to improve our educational ties with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute," Yermek Katrenov told the university media, "We are interested in specialties related to nuclear energy, the latest technologies in this field, and cybersecurity.
Finally, the guests talked with students from the Republic of Kazakhstan (see photo) who are already studying at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, the Faculty of Linguistics and the Educational and Research Institute of Applied Systems Analysis of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
