The University of Sheffield has entered into partnership with National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” to support students and scientists affected by the war.

Within this partnership, the University of Sheffield and the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute have defined 13 long term focus areas.

One of the projects for which Sheffield will transfer £20,000 is the reconstruction of bomb shelters of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Safe conditions will be created for students and lecturers to organize a smooth educational process.

The scheme, developed by UK universities and the Cormack Consultancy Group, aims to prevent a brain drain and help Ukrainian universities emerge from the war stronger and more experienced, thus playing an important role in post-war reconstruction.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is grateful to its partners for their strong and reliable support.
