Andriy defended Ukraine from the very start of the russo-Ukrainian war. After the full-scale invasion, he joined the Freedom battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine again.
"We met in 2015. We studied at the same university — Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Then we worked together in political, public and other areas. We organized a lot of patriotic, educational and training events," - Yehor Zheliazkov, Andriy's friend, says.
Andrii Shyian died on November 13, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers in the flashpoint area of Bakhmut.
