The exhibition is dedicated to World Space Week, the largest event in the world aimed at supporting the space industry. It is held every year from October 4 to 10.
On October 4, 1957, the launch of the first human-made Earth satellite, Sputnik 1, took place, and on October 10, 1967, the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies was signed.
Scientific employees of the museum annually hold lectures, thematic exhibitions, presentations, show scientific films, and talk about the role of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in space exploration.
The curator of the exhibition is Serhiy Grachov, Head of the Department of History of Aviation and Cosmonautics of the Borys Paton State Polytechnic Museum.
