The National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” donated 1 million hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The funds were transferred to a special account with the National Bank of Ukraine.
As the chairman of the trade union committee of the university Mykhailo Bezuglyi told ‘Kyiv Polytechnician’, this is the money of the trade union organization, accumulated of the university employees’ union contributions. The trade union committee redistributed traditional expenses, directing funds in favor of the defenders of Ukrainian nationhood and sovereignty.
The decision to support the Ukrainian army was considered and unanimously approved at the meeting of the university trade union committee on March 29, and the very next day the funds were transferred to the National Bank.
