In February, in Kyiv, the Faculty of Electronics of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute held online the ІІ stage of the All-Ukrainian exhibition-contest of research projects of the category Electronics and Instrumentation of the Scientific Sections of the NC JASU.
Participants - students of Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine - presented reports and showed quality presentations.
Head of the Department of Acoustic and Multimedia Electronic Systems Julia Yamnenko chaired the jury. The jury board was experienced researchers and teachers of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. They gave tips and asked students questions, assessed research works, and report presentations.
The presented projects caused great interest and many questions from the conference participants.
Besides, some participants received the very first experience in the successful performance at the scientific and technical conference online. A genuine science discovery gave students skills in taking part in a scientific discussion, hearing external assessment of the results of their research, and became an impetus for further experiments.
These are the criteria to evaluate presentations: the up-to-date topic of the research; clarity, logical and sequence of material presentation; a critical analysis of the problem under investigation with the personal contribution of the participant in its solution; independence, originality, and evidence of judgments; literate and polite speech, total command of the material, accessibility and authenticity of information presentation, skilled debating.
According to the results of the exhibition contest, the student of the 11th form of the Polytechnic Lyceum NTUU “KPI” Sofiia Pavlova with the project “Virtual Laboratory of Environmental Monitoring” took first prize. The student of the 10th form of the gymnasium 315 Mariia Molemna with the project “Study of spectral microscopic oximetry of blood” and the student of the 10th form of the Polytechnic Lyceum NTUU “KPI” Kateryna Ponko with the project “Mobile system for forest monitoring” shared the 2d place. The 3d prize was awarded to the student of the 11th form of the gymnasium 315 Volodymyr Vizytiv with the research “Three-dimension reflection of the object internal structure by thermal radiation of its components”; the student of the 10th form of the Polytechnic Lyceum NTUU “KPI” Andrii Demchenko with the project “Smart Pot - automated microclimate support system for plants planting based on STM32”; the student of the 9th form of the Gymnasium of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University Alina Voronina with the research “Contactless lifts management system “Stop COVID-19”.
