On June 5, the election of the rector of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" took place.
The booths and ballot boxes were installed in the lobby of the University's Center for Culture and Arts. Voting started at 9.00 and lasted until 15.00.
2,939 voters, 82.72% of the total, took part in the vote.
According to the results of the election, the election commission announced that the candidate for the post of Rector of KPI named after Ihor Sikorsky, Mikhail Zgurovsky, got 2359 voted (80.26%).
511 candidates (17.39%) did not support the candidate.
69 ballots (2.35%) were declared invalid.
There were no complaints during the election.
Thus, by the overwhelming majority of votes, Mykhaylo Zgurovsky, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine, was elected the rector of KPI named after Igor Sikorsky
