From the 5th to the 12th of May 2019, the Euroavia students’ jubilee 60th International Congress of EMEAC of the European Association of Aerospace Students took place in the German city of Aachen. Participation in the congress took the local group of students EUROAVIA KPI Kyiv from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. Igor Sikorsky led by senior lecturer of the Aerospace and Rocket Engineering Department, Anna Sarybogi (departments of aircraft and rocket building and aircraft control systems).
The delegation of the KPI included students from the Aerospace Technology Aircraft and Rocket and Aerospace Control Departments Yevgeny Dymarchuk, Viktoriya Dubova, Olga Astakhova, Vladislav Kolesnik, Dmitry Sokil and Mykhailo Pavlenko. They were the only ones who represented Ukraine.

On the last day of work, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute presented his directions of activity, achievements of the university and the entire aerospace industry of Ukraine in general. According to the results of the voting, the EUROAVIA KPI Kyiv local group was accepted into EUROAVIA. Kyiv Polytechnicians became the first representatives of Ukraine in this organization for the last 20 years!
Now, under the terms of the Association for 6 months, we have to hold an appropriate event for students of European universities that are part of EUROAVIA.
We hope that cooperation with the Association will be a powerful platform for interaction between Ukrainian students and European universities in the field of aerospace and missile space training and will contribute to the development of the interest of Ukrainian youth in the development of the aerospace industry.
For reference. EUROAVIA is the European Association of Aerospace Students, representing the interests of students from 42 universities in 18 European countries. It was founded in 1959. The Association is a non-political and non-profit international student-led association. Its funding is entirely at the expense of membership and sponsorship fees and fees for participating in its activities. It makes a bridge between companies, universities and students. The purpose of its activity is:
- to promote European cooperation in the aerospace industry by providing its members with opportunities to meet, exchange information about their achievements and learn;
- to represent European students of aerospace specialties at the international level;
- to familiarize students with their future working environment, stimulating contacts with industry.
EUROAVIA works to educate future leaders who promote values based on persistent work, innovation, cultural awareness, teamwork and international affairs.
