On 10 December, 2018 the next meeting of the Academic Council of the “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman Rector M. Zgurovsky congratulated the anniversaries: Director of the Publishing and Printing Institute, Professor Tatiana Kyrychok, and Head of the Department of Management of the Publishing and Printing Industry, Professor Yuriy Semyanovich Ganzhurov. Also, Mikhail Zakharovich congratulated the birthday man - the head of the chair of mathematical physics PhD, Professor Stepan Dmytrovich Ivashyshen.
The first was the question of preparation of foreign students in the “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. Director of the Center for International Education V. Koval reported. Volodymyr Oleksandrovych named the factors influencing the attractiveness of the HEI for foreign entrants, presented the distribution of foreign students by faculties and institutes, provided dynamics of growth of the number of foreign students at the university and described the main directions of the Center for International Education.
Next, the issue of the formation of scientific subjects at the university for 2019 was considered.
Vice-rector for scientific work M..Ilchenko reported. Mykhaylo Yukhymovych presented the multi-channel structure of scientific subjects at the University for 2019 and provided information on the state order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. He also reported that from the “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” submitted 9 projects for the competition. Besides, there are examples of contractual GDRs that are scheduled for implementation in 2019.
Finally, the issues of competition and current affairs were discussed, including the issues of support for the work nominated for the State Award of Ukraine in the field of education in 2019 and the approval of the "Regulations on the election of the rector of the “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
Also, the results of the legal examination of investment contracts were considered. A representative of the law firm "Ilyashev & Partners" Dmitry Igorovich Gribov. Upon hearing the report, the Scientific Council endorsed the conclusions of the aforementioned law firm and condemned the baseless allegations made against the University regarding the implementation of these investment projects.
