The first All-Ukrainian tournament of young chemists was held on March 5 at the Igor Sikorsky KPI within the framework of the plan of work of the National Ecological and Naturalistic Centre of Student Youth of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Students who came from all regions of Ukraine worked with teachers and scientists of the chemical and technological faculty during the day. They competed in theoretical training, participated in quizzes and team competitions, solved the practical task - determined the composition of ten proposed solutions using a set of reagents.
The winners of the tournament were: Dmytro Palaguta (Donetsk region) – 1st place, Vladyslav Ostash (Khmelnytskyi region) – the 2nd place, Kateryna Maksymova (Odessa) – the 3rd place.
the youngest participant of the tournament deserves particular attention namely seven-year-old student from Odesa Stanislav Nikolaychuk, who is self-taught chemist. Vladislav impressed with the brilliant, as for his age, training, so he received a special prize from the faculty – a book that would become his first serious textbook.
The tournament has ended, it has become one of the first steps in finding talented and promising youth, who needs attention, faith, support.
