On May 9-14, foreign students of UT-1 and UT-2 groups together with teachers of the preparatory department at the International Education Center of NAU, Y.M.Halka, Y.V.Suddia and IEC of the National Aviation University I.V.Korablova made the excursion trips to Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khotyn, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv.
The tour started from ancient Kamianets-Podilskyi, where they explored the fortress, City hall, the cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, the Dominican Monastery, the cathdral of St. Nicholas, and many other historical monuments. The next day they visited the Khotyn fortress dated the XIII-XVIII centurie and perfectly preserved.
Foreign students were impressed by Ivano-Frankivsk too. Taking their time, they walked down the central street, admiring fountains, numerous monuments, sat on the "Tree of Happiness" on Independence Street.
The city of Lion greeted students with gloomy weather and rain, but this did not stop them from admiring its architecture. The acquaintance was started from the heart of Lviv - Market Square. Each building was fascinating and impressive, especially the City town with the central tower. Students were admiring the fountains decorated with Greek gods a lot. They also liked the architecture of the Renaissance - the Italian courtyard, where jazz festivals, film shows, artistic events take place.
The place which fascinated everyone was Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, generously decorated outside and inside and which is included to the list of the most beautiful buildings in Europe. The Armenian Cathedral, The Dominican Church, The Latin Cathedral, the Boim Chapel with the sculpture of Jesus Christ Grieving, the Assumption Church, in which Petro Mohyla was consecrated, the Lviv "Statue of freedom", the impressive houses of the "Austrian" part of the city, Lviv University is far from a complete list of the sights we have seen. An exciting story of the guide made impressions greater.
The excursion to the Pharmacy Museum appeared to be interesting. Foreign students were curiously walking down the old streets of Lviv, still enveloped in the atmosphere of mystery and sweet-bitter aroma of the famous "Lviv Coffee". We also visited the High Castle, "Lviv manufacture coffee", famous Lviv coffee shops, a chocolate workshop and many other places.
The boys and girls were very pleased by what they've seen. Having bought souvenirs, chocolate and coffee to remember, all tired but happy and happy returned to Kiev.
