On May, 20th a meeting on Supervisory Board creation for ‘Sikorskyi’s national center’ Charity Fund took place in NTUU ‘KPI’.
Viktor Yushchenko, the third Ukrainian president, participated in it.
Before the meeting the initiative group members observed an exposition in the Spacecraft and aviation sector named after I.I. Sikorskyi, in the National Museum at NTUU ‘KPI’.
Mykhailo Zhurovskyi, rector of NTUU ‘KPI’, academician of NAS of Ukraine, Viktor Yahun, the chairman of ‘Sikorskyi’s National Center’ Charity Fund, Maryna Antonova, the chairman of International Charity Fund ‘Ukraine 3000’, Mariia Varchenko, CEO of ‘Sikorskyi’s National Center’ Charity Fund, Oleg Mashevskyi, the head of chair of modern and present time history of foreign countries of Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko, Yurii Zadnipriannyi, honorary director of ‘Calsberg Ukraine’ Company, Nataliia Pysarenko, director of the National Polytechnic Museum at NTUU ‘KPI’ and others participated in the meeting.
After forming the Supervisory Board, its members among with the meeting participants discussed the opportunities and ways of reconstructing the Kyiv house of Sikorskyi’s family, naming the International airport ‘Boryspil’ after Igor Sikorskyi, issues of collaboration with Sikorskyi’s family who lives in the USA with the help of the US Embassy in Ukraine etc.
Finally, the meeting participants took a collective picture next to Igor Sikorskyi’s memorial.
