February 24, 2015, the Olympiad on theoretical mechanics was held at the University.
48 students participated in the competition. Five faculties and institutes were represented: FASS, IME, FCE, the FW and IESEM.
The problems to solve consisted of six tasks on the main sections of theoretical mechanics - statics, kinematics, dynamics, and analytical mechanics. A success in solving statics problem is estimated at 20 points, to 30 points in the kinematics, the dynamics an analytical mechanics - 35 points. The maximum score Olympiad was 85 points.
Olympiad participants showed a fairly high level of knowledge, and its winners were:
- I place – A.S. Iokimas, FASS, a group of VL-31
- II place – R.S. Kotvitsky, FASS, a group of VL-21
- III place – P.V. Fedosenko, IME, a group of MP-32.
The overall results of competitions, including the number of points of each participant, were published on the website of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics KPI (http://tm.kpi.ua/).
Congratulations to the winners!
