They were warmly welcomed by the rector of KPI NAS of Ukraine Mikhail Zgurovsky, a veteran of World War II, Distinguished Lecturer NTU "KPI", Professor John Klyetchenkov, chairman of the trade union of the University Vitaliy Molchanov, head of the NGO "Veteran KPI" University, a veteran of the Armed Forces, Colonel Yuriy Nesterenko, student Institute of special communication and information protection of NTU "KPI" excellent student learning Olga Shejko.
"Dear veterans! Without your fighting and labor feats would not be Ukraine as a state - said in his speech, Michael Zgurovsky. - Your life - a school education of youth, patriotic effective model for every honest man and conscious citizen. The courage, the attitude of the military and civic duty veteran soldiers - a high example for the current generation of polytechnics and Defenders ... We remember that those who defend their land, always wins. This memory makes us stronger. It is inevitable guarantee our victory today. Peace, prosperity and well being of you, your families, all Ukrainian. With the Victory Day, dear veterans! ".

On behalf of the veterans of the students of the Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection of NTU "KPI" laid flowers at the monument to students, faculty and staff of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, who died in World War II and the monument to the Heroes Heavenly hundreds.
Finally, members of the choir of the Center of Culture and Arts NTUU "KPI" "Seventh sense" (art director Svetlana Turner) and his student of linguistics soloist Alena Kildyshova performed for veterans wreath lyrical and patriotic songs.
