From 31st March to 2nd April in Kyiv on the territory of International Exhibition Centre (Brovarskiy Avenue, 15) VII International specialized exhibition “Metal treatment. Instrument. Plastic – 2015” was taking place. Among other at exhibition were demonstrated scientific developments of Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering Faculty NTUU “KPI”.
Department of Laser Technology end Physical and Technical Technologies of IME in cooperation with scientists of NAS of Ukraine (Institute for Superhard Materials and Physical and Technological Institute of Metals and Alloys) are working on creation of highly advanced production technology of instruments equipped with superhard materials, bimetal sheet for various purposes and femoral endoprosthesis.
They presented a complex of innovative technical solutions, prepared for introduction into production (head of scientific direction Dr. of Sc. L. F. Golovko):
- “The Technology of laser sintering thermodeformational composite tool based on synthetic diamonds or cubic boron nitride”, which allow radically increase the productivity of manufacturing abrasive wheels, automate their production, form multilayer and multi-instrumental work surfaces;
- ”The Technology of laser processing of thermal coatings, which allows to increase the adhesion strength of plasma coatings with material basis and significantly expand the limits of their application;
- “The technology of laser metal forming spatial structures of complex configuration”, which allows to produce products of complex configuration from sheets of two to three times thicker than in alternative methods of treatment;
- “The technology of laser hardening of sharp cutting edges of tools for machining of materials”, which allows to obtain strengthened layer with a hardness that is 1.5-2 times higher than the standard hardening;
- “The technology of laser thermodeformational strengthening of products”, which is a highly effective way to improve wear resistance and fatigue strength of products made of carbon steel.
- “The technology of laser surface modification with chemical and thermal treatment”, which allows to obtain the nitrided layers with thickness up to 0.5 mm with nitriding duration 2-3 hours;
- "The technology of solid oils creation on contacting surfaces of batteries”, which provides increase of wear resistance of details of heavy loaded friction units operating under extremely high specific pressures and ultrafast relative motion in a vacuum.
The department of chemical, polymer and a silicate mechanical engineering of CEF at the exhibition demonstrated several of their innovative developments that are successfully applied:
- “The line for recycling worn out tires and rubber waste in finely dispersed devulcanized rubber powder, which is designed and constructed by PJSC “SPE Bilshovyk” together with scientists of Chemical Engineering Faculty NTUU “KPI” (head of scientific direction Professor I. O. Mikulonok)
- “Innovative basalt-glass-plastic container for packaging, storage and transport of ammunition” (the authors of the joint with SRE “Automated Systems Institute” NASU development of the university − professor V. I. Sivetsky, Dr. of Sc. O.E. Kolosov).
All representatives of NTUU "KPI" received the diplomas of participants.
