January 30, a delegation of the Republic of Lithuania visited National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" .
It consisted of the head of the Lithuanian Space Association Vidmantas Tomkus, director of scientific production company "ARMO" Vytautas Verbitskas and head of the Private Space Research Institute Domantas Bruchas.
Members of the delegation met with scientists KPI and discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of space research.
Vice President for Research, NAS academician M.Yu.Ilchenko informed the guests about the space program NTUU "KPI". Head of the Laboratory of nano-satellites technologies of heat and power Faculty Ph.D. Boris Rassamakin told about projects of nano-satellites on the platform PolyITAN format Cubesate, which are carried out in the KPI. Senior Researcher, Ph.D. Andrew Rassamakin informed the guests about the achievements of our scientists in the field of heat pipes and thermal control systems of spacecraft based on them. Vidmantas Tomkus spoke about the achievements of Lithuanian scientists and engineers in the development of nano-satellites, which are carried out for two successful launches of nano-satellites. Domantas Bruchas informed our scientists on the experience of the design and application unmanned aircraft.
At the end of the meeting participants discussed the prospects of cooperation, in particular, the possibility of implementation of joint projects in the framework of the program "Horizon 2020" of the European Union.
