On September 24, International Scientific-practical and educational conference "Sustainable energy development: current trends, technologies and solutions" was held at NTUU "KPI".
It was organized by the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Telemark University College (Norway), the project "Ukrainian-Norwegian cooperation in higher education for sustainable energy development CPEA-2010 10050", National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Electrodynamics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Science Park "Kyiv Polytechnic".
The conference was attended by representatives of foreign and Ukrainian universities, NAS of Ukraine and profile academic and research institutions, industry and business, etc. .. Attention scientists and industry to the conference due to the fact that the paradigm of sustainable development is now extremely urgent, because its implementation could enhance energy security of the country, will ensure efficient use of energy resources, reduce the energy intensity of national production and improve the competitiveness of the country in world markets. Therefore, the aim of the conference was to discuss the modern trends, technologies and solutions in the field of sustainable energy development and the urgent tasks of modernization of higher education in the context of the Bologna process for the preparation of professionals to work in the energy sector.
After greetings and plenary session opened with a report of the Director of Institute for Energy Saving and Energy Management NTUU "KPI" Professor Sergei Denisyuk "Sustainable energy development in Ukraine - a priority of the XXI century", which sets the tone for further work of the conference, the participants worked in two sections - "Electrical Technology" and "Thermotechnical technology."
The conference was held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.
