September 18, International scientific-practical conference "dual education as a response to the challenges faced by the modern system of Ukrainian education" started its work in NTUU"KPI".Organizers of the conference are Ukrainian public organization "Ukrainian Marketing Association" in partnership with the Mission of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine and NTUU "KPI".
The conference is devoted to the reform of the education system in the direction of its approach to the practical problems of the economy. This isuue is extremely important for our state. After all, the phrase "dual system", in fact, means a combination of theory and practice. The Vice-Rector of NTUU "KPI" NASU academician Yuri Yakimenko and its moderator - Head of the Department of International Economics Faculty of Economics of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Alla Starostina say, welcoming the participants of the conference, on the need for the introduction of such a system in Ukraine
At the first session of the conference the Chairperson of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education Liliya Hrynevych made a detailed report on "Education reform in Ukraine". "I invite you to this conference to express your views and suggestions on the three major components of the introduction of the dual system of education - she urged participants at the end of his speech. - This is the question of how we combine professional standards with educational standards, we have to convince our employers in the skills of our graduates through an independent system of qualifying examinations, and what may be economic incentives for employers that they have decided to invest in training. "
The dual system of education is not new to the world, including some countries of the European Union. It is therefore extremely interesting for the participants of the conference were the report of Germany representative - the country in which it works effectively - director of the office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine Stefan Meuser on the history of the introduction of such a system in the educational system of Germany and its current operation, and the chief specialist of the professional development of the Market Department of Labour and Employment Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine Natalia Vasilenko about how the dual education has become an effective mechanism for increasing employment among young people in Germany and the feasibility of establishing such an experience in Ukraine and others.
The conference program of September 18 is envisaged also presentations by members of the Committee for Education and Research of the Bundestag Shpiring Reiner, who will tell the audience about the economic and social benefits of a dual education, Head of International Projects Department of International Cooperation NTUU "KPI" Professor Sergei Shukaev about what is necessary to introduce a dual education in Ukrainian university, the general director of the public organization "Ukrainian marketing Association" Irina Lilik about the experience in the development of professional standards in the context of education and professional environment and many others. A question about the mechanisms of implementation of the dual education in Ukraine was submitted for discussion.
The conference will continue its work on 19 September. Organizers are planning for this day to discuss the role of employers in the implementation of the dual education and listen to information about the experience of the introduction of life. Particularly interesting in this respect, perhaps, should be a speach of the representative of one of the most effective domestic companies in the field of construction and facing materials "Knauf in Ukraine", during which participants will learn about its developed chain of specialist training for work in the field, which starts from technical training colleges and crowned with technical University. The conference will end with debate on "The organization of the educational process: how to combine theory and practice?" and the development of the Roadmap for the implementation of the principles of the dual education in Ukraine.
