The exhibition of paintings was opened by a Society of artist of Ukraine, Society of architecs of Ukraine of honored artist of Ukraine and honourable citizen of Vyschgorod Vasyliy Volodimorovich Klymyka in the Art Gallery NTU “KPI” on 14th May 2013.
V. V. Klymyk is known primarily is a monumental artist and architect. He is a co-author of the memorial sign to heroes of Lyutizh bridgehead in the village Nova Petrivka Kyiv region (1983), co-author of the monument to Valeriy Lobanovskiy (2003), author of the memorial sign to liquidators of the accident at Chernobyl AES in Vyschgorod, co-author of the memorial sign to the prince Svyatoslav in the village Stara Petrivka and monument to saints Borys and Gleb in Vyschgorod (2011). Vasyl Klymyk is the author of many ornamental sculptures, signs of departures, small architectural forms, decorative and monumental paintings. He took part in the design of interiors Museum “Heroic Defense of Sevastopol” (1984); Museum-reserve “Battle for Kyiv 1943” in the village Nova Petrivka (1990) also performed a monumental painting of the church of St. Ioann on the Garmatniy street.
At the portentous ceremony of opening the exhibition was a lot of friends of the artist who fondly talked about the diversity of Vasylya Klymyka’s talent and his extraordinary personality.Artist was welcomed by I.P. Vikovan – director of National museum-preserve “Battle for Kyiv 1943” and honored worker of culture in Ukraine, S. I. Voytsehivskiy – member of the Society of artists in Ukraine, co-author of many projects including memorial sign to heroes of Lyutizh bridgehead; V. O. Gavrylov – honored artist of Ukraine, S. H. Savchenko – artist and honored power engineering specialist of Ukraine, actress Oksana Openko, precepter of the temple in Stara Petrivka.

At the exhibition of the Art Gallery, Vasyl Klymyk presented 45 of still lives and landscapes. It depicts the beauty of Ukrainian nature. You feel affection watching landscapes – fields, forests, lakes (Kyiv region, Carpathian Mountains). All still lives depicts flowers – peonies, marigolds, majors, daisies, dahlias. All these all of us have seen many times and on the canvas of Vasyl Klymyk you come across something familiar and new at the same time. They embodied the mood and the skill of the artist and his unconditional love to his native land.
