A student of our university Yaroslav Nedashkivsky (09.06.2003 - 08.12.2024) died in the war.

KPI students met with the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - the military who successfully perform extremely complex combat operations at the front and behind enemy lines.

A memorial plaque was unveiled in the 19th building of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to the hero-polytechnic Danylo Bobrykov (02.12.2001-23.12.2024), a 3rd year student of the Department of Machines and Apparatus of Chemical and Oil Refining Production of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering (IHF).

In the 4th building of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, memorial plaques to two of our student-heroes - Oleg Kubey and Oleksandr Chukhno - were unveiled.

According to the rector of the National Technical University “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” Anatoliy Melnychenko, the exhibition “From the Flame We Were Born”, which opened on January 23 this year at the university's State Polytechnic Museum named after Borys Paton, is another reason to remember those students and teachers of KPI who are no longer with us because of the insidious war. “This exhibition is an inspiration for young people, students, teachers, a lesson in courage for many Kyiv residents and guests of our city,” he emphasized at the opening ceremony.
