The “Deer Antlers” team from the Faculty of Electronics (FEL) at Igor Sikorsky KPI won the Brave1 engineering challenge as part of the Brave Students initiative.

On March 10, Seymur Gurban oglu Mardaliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine, presented awards to students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute who won the essay contest on the topic “Startup Diplomacy: Ukraine and Azerbaijan in Building an Innovation Partnership." The Azerbaijani ambassador met with the winners and contest participants directly on the university campus. The meeting was also attended by the heads of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the faculties represented by the winners.

😢 Our university community has suffered another loss. It has been reported that another student of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Artem Krulikovsky, has died.

🕯 Maria Bigun (Leut), a graduate of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, was killed in the war (August 28, 2000 — February 21, 2026)

🕯Kyiv Polytechnic student Daria Lopatina (July 8, 2006 — September 2, 2025) was killed in action.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provided KPI with its second grant since the start of the full-scale war. In 2022, the university received its first emergency grant, which allowed it to quickly migrate its infrastructure to a cloud environment. At that time, digital services were operating in a partner environment provided by EPAM. Later, the university completely switched to its own AWS account.

Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Historical Model of the UN” in the format of an educational role-playing game.

Igor Sikorsky KPI became the venue and an active participant in the “Safety Distance” event, which focused on the use of remote systems for detecting explosive objects in mine action. Such technologies minimize risks to people and speed up the survey of territories.

The main task was to ensure the university’s uninterrupted financial operations—primarily the timely payment of salaries and scholarships, as well as utility bills.
