«BELKA» – is free student co-working that will operate on the third floor of the library. It was student initiative supported by the university administration to create it.
Students worked over creation of a common student space on the basis of reading hall №4 of STL. The project was being put into practice at the expense of sponsors.
First pro-rector of the university, academician of Ukrainian NAS, Yurii Yakymenko and pro-rector for the issues of perspective development, Oleksii Novikov together with activists took part in the opening of co-working.
The square of new space where students of Igor Sikorsky KPI can develop and realize their own ideas is quite large – 260 square meters. 70 cozy working places can be found here. There is free Internet connection, comfortable places for communication with like-minded people and relaxing. There are all facilities for giving free lectures on different and relevant topics that are part of university study programs.
The first lecture in open student space «BELKA» will be hold in terms of “First year student school” in September, 16 at 14-00. 19 KPI graduates will be talking about their student years and sharing their experience with their younger colleagues. And later on the same day there will be a film premiere “BELKA – space for your ideas” on creation of co-working – from the idea to the opening. It starts at 20-00.
