The Information Systems Design Office (KBIS) is a structural unit of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of the university's information systems.
The Office’s primary responsibilities include providing digital support for the educational process, developing software and information solutions for the university's administrative and management activities, advancing university digital services, and designing and implementing modern information technologies across the structural units of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The Information Systems Design Office is one of the key units involved in developing the university's integrated digital environment, which brings together information resources, digital services, and institutional information management systems.
The Office’s main areas of activity include:
- providing digital support for the educational process;
- introducing modern software solutions, digital services, and information technologies into teaching and learning;
- developing, maintaining, and enhancing the university's integrated digital environment, including information resources, automated management systems, electronic document management, databases, and information services for managing student and staff records;
- developing the information, software, methodological, and organizational framework for the university's information systems;
- designing, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading the subsystems, services, and components of the information systems of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute;
- coordinating digital transformation initiatives and the development of the university's information systems in cooperation with relevant structural units;
- conducting research, design, and engineering projects related to the development of information systems for higher education and research institutions;
- organizing training courses, seminars, workshops, and consultations on digital technologies and information systems;
- providing information processing, computing, consulting, and technical services, as well as access to the software and information resources of the Information Systems Design Office for university units and external organizations;
- participating in the development and implementation of innovative educational technologies and digital learning projects;
- participating in international cooperation, grant programs, and projects in the fields of digital transformation, education, and information technologies.
