Ukraine is at war. Every day people die in this war. They die for us to live, study, work, love, bring up children. Here not everyone is aware of the high price paid by our compatriots for this peace and tranquility.
June, 22– Day of sorrow and commemoration of victims of World War II in Ukraine
On 22 of June, Kyiv polytechnics commemorated all those deceased during World War II.

On October 14, last year, during the ceremony of commemorating the Kiev Polytechnicians, who died on the Maidan and in the battles of eastern Ukraine, I met with a member of the Revolution of Dignity and Anti-Terrorist Operation. Cyril Buntov is a student of our university.
Solemn Meeting on 71st Victory Day Anniversary Celebration
On May, 5th solemn meeting on 71st Victory Day anniversary celebration took place in NTUU ‘KPI’.

- We studied at the same faculty with Vlad, lived in the same dorm room. Both of us were at the same age of 21. We also fought side by side. On that day, during a special mission the explosion of the shell tore off his leg below the knee and damaged other parts of the body.
June 22 - Day of mourning and commemorating war victims
The Second World War (01.09.1939 – 02.09.1945) – the bloodiest global conflict, in the course of which died, according to various estimates, from 50 to 85 million people. As the terrible tragedy it is remembered and commemorated around the world.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day
May 7 at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" solemn meeting on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Dear veterans – the winners of Nazism! Dear polytechnichians – the nowaday defenders of the fatherland!
It is passing 70 years after the end of the bloodiest global conflict − the Second World War in Europe.

We walk every day at the monument to the fallen of the polytechnics, which stands near the metro station. On the monument is the inscription: "Courageous. Selfless. Invincible.
Meeting on the development of technology for defense purposes
February 11, a meeting to discuss the problems of scientific and technical developments in the complex program of the University "System of special and double purpose" was held in NTUU “KPI”.
